Once you have inserted the DataView macro and DataViewResults macro on to your page, you can give your users the option to export DataView results using the 'DataViewExport' macro

To do this, search for the DataViewExport macro by clicking on Insert > Other Macros

...or by typing in 'DataViewExport' into the macro shortcut


Once you have the DataViewExport macro inserted on to your page, click on it once and then select 'Edit' (or double click on it)

You can then specify which columns you want to include in the Export. You do this by

  • selecting the sheet containing the data (this defaults to 0, which is the first sheet in your Excel file)
  • and then selecting the columns in that sheet that you wish to display in the results

You can include as many, or as few, columns as you would like to include

Once you click 'Save' and then save the page, a button will appear on your page entitled 'Export results'.

By clicking on this button your user will be able to export the current results display to an Excel spreadsheet. This will appear on your page as below and allow the user to download the Excel file:
